TREASURES OF THE DEPTH

Each of our jewel is fully handmade, with focusing on making most of sea shell's material properties shine bright.
"Scaglia Di Mare" works on its charms starting by a defined type of sea shell with selection criterias such as color, texture and reflective properties. The output is resulting of a long work of carving and polishing by the skilled crafter's hands.
MADREPERLA
Madreperla is an organic–inorganic
composite material produced by some molluscs
as an inner shell layer.
Strong and shiny, it has a light colour and iridescent brightness.

HALIOTIS
This shell has a low, open, spiral structure. The thicker inner layer is highly iridescent, giving rise to a range of strong and changeable colors.

CASSIS MADAGASCARENSIS
Also known as "The Queen Helmet", this shell is round, resistent, with short spirals. The colour ranges from pale cream, parietal shield pale to deep salmon.

CASSIS RUFA
Also known as "Pink Shell", with several shades of color, between white and pink. From the Bahamas Islands, it was also used by sailors as musical instrument.

STROMBUS GIGAS
Also known as "Giant helmet", has shades of color going from orange to white.
